I want to connect an HDMI cable, the source to the receiver and HDMI output for HDTV connection and play the audio through the receiver, without receiving additional cabling. I do not want HDMI Bridge. What do I want?

You need a compatible audio receiver with HDMI connections (including DTS-HD MA and Dolby True HD decoder card). Denon 1909, Yamaha 663, Pioneer 1018, Onkyo 606, Sony 920 receptors that respond to their needs.
ReplyDeleteCorrect, you do not want catwalk. This is the stupidest thing I saw in a receiver. It simply makes no sense.
ReplyDeleteTry this place. Connection components via HDMI to the TV. Most new TVs have an optical digital output on the back that sends the surround sound signal to a receiver. This is for the receiver, the big one or two optical inputs.
This reduces the wiring and as a bonus, you can leave the receiver in the same environment all the time while the inputs on your TV.
